Strategic partner promoting dialogue in Swedish football

ENABLE Sweden is a platform that facilitates collaboration among key stakeholders in the football sector with the common aim of ensuring a positive football experience for all.
The initiative places particular focus on enabling sustainable collaboration between clubs, supporters and law enforcement agencies based on rigorous theoretical and practical knowledge, common objectives and the sharing of good practices.
As ENABLE’s sustainability partner since 2015, we have offered support to the initiative during its evolution – from the definition of a new identity and goals to the development of a new approach to communication involving each group of stakeholders.

Our support was key in a phase of profound change, in which ENABLE moved from an academic approach based on research and theories of crowd management to a more practical approach, closer to the real interests of stakeholders in Sweden’s football sector (clubs, associations, etc.).
The intense dialogue that underpinned this experience earned was recognized as the “Best sports and leisure programme” at the Corporate Engagement Awards 2019 in London.
The ENABLE report 2020 was the first document aimed at a wider audience with the aim of exploring the themes it has dealt with and facilitating talks with institutions and potential sponsors. Separate ENABLE initiatives are now under way to replicate the Swedish model in the U.K. and Switzerland.
