Improving digital communications
#Internal engagement and training
Assess the current online sustainability communications of the bank and provide concrete help on how it can communicate corporate responsibility as a holistic topic directly aligned with the core business. A focus on how to use social media for a financial firm was also requested.
ASSESSING AND IMPROVING SUSTAINABILITY COMMUNICATIONS
We analysed the current sustainability mini-site as well as the CSR report to define strengths and weaknesses of the bank’s communications. The assessment was based on the 7 pillars of our CSR Online Awards study (Concrete, Exhaustive, User friendly, Ongoing, Social, User friendly and Distinctive).
For each pillar of the study we presented best practices and improvement areas. The analysis led to the identification of the main issues to be addressed on the website as well as trends in sustainability communications.
We presented our assessment together with ideas for improvements at a workshop in Frankfurt.
The analysis identified main issues to be addressed for the improvement of the bank’s sustainability communication and provided a basis to discuss how to move online sustainability communications towards best practice and stakeholder needs. It also identified tactical actions. The effectiveness of implementation was seen in a marked increase in the bank’s performance in the CSR Online Awards.
