“To navigate our changing future, sustainability needs to be strategic, transparent, human and interconnected.”
We’ve been setting the standard in sustainability communications since we introduced the CSR Online Awards back in 2007.
Today, with expectations sky high for the role of business in society and environmental action, we use .future’s structured methodology to guide clients towards excellence and challenge them to use communications as a strategic lever for sustainability.
The .future research is built around four “dimensions” that we use to assess sustainability communications and reporting, and drive improvement. It’s great for exploring best practice and understanding how companies approach key issues such as climate change and diversity and inclusion, in order to then support our clients in developing effective communication strategies and implementation.
In the spirit of our measure-manage-change approach, each dimension is supported by a set of quantitative criteria (score) and qualitative queries (effectiveness) that we use to define excellence in sustainability communications.
Sustainability as a concrete response to shared challenges and global goals but also a central pillar of a purpose-driven company: business transformation and innovation, strategy, priorities and values.
Credibility is underpinned by transparency on future targets and an honest account of progress towards those objectives, making information accessible and easy-to-understand.
Showing the personal dimension starts with dialogue and collaboration with stakeholders and runs through to strategic storytelling of engaging, human stories, but also raising awareness and advocating sustainable action by all.
Beyond silos, how sustainability is embedded into the culture and is embedded into all business areas and touchpoints across the ecosystem.
It’s more than just research – .future is the foundation for our approach to sustainability. All our services are inspired by its four dimensions. We show new perspectives, anticipate the challenges of tomorrow and support companies in carrying out today’s actions together.
