* AXA Italia’s new website was published after the close of the evaluation period.

How we selected the research sample

The first edition of the .trust research evaluated 81 of Italy’s largest non-listed companies, based on turnover, number of employees, significance in the national economy, and brand recognition (icons of the Made in Italy brand)

How the companies are evaluated

The research evaluated the corporate and commercial websites in Italian language. In the first half of September, each website was evaluated twice by two different consultants against the Substance protocol. During the second half of September until the 5th of October, the companies which passed the Substance evaluation were then evaluated by twice by two different consultants against the Distinctiveness protocol.
