The 17th Swiss edition of the Webranking research, conducted by Lundquist in collaboration with Comprend, officially comes out today.
The context generated by Covid-19, which we experienced on a global scale, has tested companies not only on their ability to react promptly to the crisis but also on knowing how to set a vision for the future of their business.
This year Swiss companies fell short of their performance in the past, by losing 3.9 points. Although Swiss companies still fare well at the European level, they have failed to keep their stakeholders’ expectations with regards to Covid-19.
How did Swiss companies choose to communicate digitally during the crisis? Webranking gives a broad-spectrum view of the choices made by companies by evaluating websites in an in-depth quantitative analysis.
There are three interpretations through which to read the data this year: the “quick” reaction of companies to the crisis, the analysis of the impact on the business and on the company’s future, and the broader European reaction in comparison to Swiss businesses.
Download the whitepaper below for the analysis of the results and insights.
All companies have been put to the test by the impact of Covid-19 and reacted promptly to the crisis, but only those companies that had already established a relationship of transparency with the market for some time were able to communicate a vision of the future and give indications concrete consequences of the crisis on business prospects.
Among the most virtuous companies this year is Swisscom, the only company that obtained a 5-star rating for online transparency and a position among the top 10 of the European Webranking ranking (500 companies listed in Europe). With 4 stars and a spot in the top 20 of the European Webranking are Sika and Givaudan (best improver).
Transparency is only the beginning of a journey
Being transparent to gain trust is the beginning of a much longer path. We need to convey a strategic vision of the company and give substance to the commitments. It is for this reason that we have created the .trust research, which analyses the concreteness of the way the company faces its future and its role within society.
A .trust analysis is a valid tool for all those who want to set their corporate purpose and build concrete and distinctive communication to support their business.
We have recently released the .trust analysis for Swiss Listed Companies 2020.
